Two days ago, we set off to find a new studio on the recommendation of Rich, who said he knew of one from his days in the GBR. It’s worth noting that whilst he did see combat, his main duties were playing upright bass for the GBR swing band in-between engagements, but I digress.

On our way there, we stopped by an empty apartment block and ventured into one of the few flats that hadn’t been totally gutted. There was nothing particularly useful in there, but we found a lot of personal effects that proved to be interesting. Judging by a photograph on top of the television, two men, both about 25-30 lived here together, and judging by food bowl in the corner of the living room, they had a dog too, back before they became all feral. To live together and own a pet together, they must have been brothers or something, or just really good mates!

Strangest though, is the amount of items they’d left behind; food still in the cupboards, clothes still in the wardrobe. It’s difficult to tell if they left 20 days or 20 years ago, but either way, it looked as if they’d left in a hurry. Or unexpectedly even.
